The bomb was not only dropped on the citizens of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. It was dropped on the whole humanity- Satoru Konishi
Hiroshima Day is observed on August 6 every year to mark the anniversary of the atomic bombing on two cities of Japan -Hiroshima and Nagasaki — during World War 2. The nuclear bomb blasts killed nearly 80,000 people while more than 35,000 were injured. Not only this, but it also led to massive structural damage.
To remember the day and to sensitize the students special efforts were taken by Sparsh Global School, Greater Noida on 04th August 2023, a beautiful thought indeed! Students of grade 1 & 2 participated in a poster making activity of ‘Peace Crane’ which is used as a peace symbol that emphasises on the need to advocate love and integrity amongst the mankind. The observance serves as a reminder of the day when a nuclear weapon was used and the entire city was razed to the ground.
Through this activity the students understood the significance of unity and harmony and a disregard towards war and destruction which is essential for the growth of human race and fundamental for the development of society. The activity was conducted in their respective classes and witnessed a great enthusiasm amongst all the students.
