Small steps can make a big difference. A single plastic bag takes 1000 years to degrade in a landfill. One way to contribute to the reduction of plastic waste is by using reusable cloth bags instead of disposable plastic ones. Sparshites were sensitized to a plastic-free environment and were guided to make their cloth bags with old T-shirts, which are not only eco-friendly but can also be personalized to reflect a unique style. Students of the primary wing (G1 to 4) were engaged in a hands-on experience that promoted creativity, sustainability, and practical skills essential for their holistic development. Making cloth bags not only encouraged our students’ artistic expression but also made them learn about the importance of reducing waste and using eco-friendly alternatives.
