Van Mahotsav: A Joyful Celebration of Forests and Environment
Van Mahotsav, or the "Forest Festival" in Hindi, is an annual celebration in India highlighting the significance of forests and the need for their conservation. Our young Sparshites enthusiastically observed this important event at school, engaging in various activities that fostered environmental awareness and appreciation.
They watched a captivating enactment of the "Chipko movement," which educated them about India's pioneering forest conservation movement and its rich history. Additionally, they participated in a "Valley of Flowers" show-and-tell activity, showcasing various flowers and honing their public speaking skills while building confidence.
The Van Mahotsav celebration served as a poignant reminder of our responsibility towards the environment and our collective goal of creating a greener, cleaner world for future generations.
