“Dispossession and eviction play out silently for thousands of wildlife.”
As we celebrate #Wildlifeweek2023 #SGS aims to train and engage its young learners to play a defining role ensuring preserving India’s precious wildlife to create an awareness about the various threats and challenges it faces. India has a very unique wildlife wealth spread out throughout its length and breadth with many species endemic or the last surviving population in the world. The country struggles to maintain the delicate balance to provide enough for the ever-growing human population while doing its best not to deplete its natural resources.
A documentary was screened in school, engaging students from Grades V to VIII, to stress on the most significant part of the country's population. The special screening of the wildlife documentary was followed by an interactive session with Hon. Principal Ma’am Ms. Monika Randhawa where she enlightened the children about India’s unique flora and fauna and our fundamental duty to protect and preserve our natural environment. The students were informed about the theme of year 2023 Wildlife week"Partnership for wildlife conservation".
Takeaways from such enlightening sessions bring up consciousness amongst the children, as they continue discussion and sharing their knowledge in their special groups throughout the day.
All these only gives a glimpse of appeasing mindful personalities in making. And #SparshGlobalSchool aims to accustom children to value and nurture their surroundings in each and every way, a development which is balanced, cherished and inclusive of all.
